Balsawood (Ochroma lagopus). We deal with the best balsa wood in the world grown in Equador .Three of these trees are needed to make a balsa blank. These trees grow up to 20 inches in diameter in 3 – 5 years. The tree is hand picked carefully to preserve the forests and the enviroment in the best possible way.The wood is then dried in kilns for approximately 2 weeks until the moisture is absorbed and the wood is completely dry and light.

Balsaboards started in the middle of the twentieth century in the Pacific,in the Californian and South American coasts before foam was invented. Balsa boards have not only special characteristics in the water but is also a piece of surfing history that will last for generations, therefore it is an investment that will never lose value.

Blanks & Boards. All balsa blanks have one stringer (a long strip of hard redwood (cedar) that runs down from top to bottom ,acts like a back bone). Longboards, shortboards and mini mals are all made by experienced craftsmen/shapers. All boards are fibreglassed  and made to any style and measurement .We can put your logo or brand name onto the finished board ,all to the request of the client. There are solid boards and hollow chambered ones. You can see these blanks in our photo galery. Longboards can weigh about 10-13 Kg. In the larousse encyclopedia it says resistant and elastic floats twice as much as cork. These balsaboards can also be used as ornaments in surf/sports shops,restaurants/cafes,museums, homes and many more places.

Fins & WallRacks. Our fins are made of balsa wood and fibreglass for longboards. Our single wall racks are made out of a hard and exotic South American wood called Caoba. We have also some minature longboards (8-16 inches) made out of balsa and covered with resin. You can stick them on picture or photo frames, mirrors, etc., or simply on ornaments.
